Frequently Asked Questions

What services do you offer?

1

FitPelvis PT offers both in-person physical therapy and virtual support for active women experiencing pelvic floor dysfunction, orthopedic injuries, or movement limitations.

Whether you're dealing with leaking during workouts, pregnancy or postpartum recovery, pain, or difficulty returning to the activities you love, treatment is individualized to your goals and lifestyle.

You may be a great fit if:

You leak when you run, jump, lift, or exercise.

Pregnancy or childbirth changed the way your body feels or performs.

Pain is limiting your workouts or everyday life.

You've been told to "just do Kegels," but nothing has changed.

You want to understand why your symptoms are happening—not just cover them up.

You're ready to return to lifting, running, CrossFit, sports, or simply living confidently again.

Who is FitPelvis PT for?

What makes FitPelvis PT different?

3

Most providers focus on one body part.

I don't.

As a Board-Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist with advanced pelvic health training, I evaluate how your entire body moves—not just your pelvic floor.

Treatment includes:

• Whole-body movement assessment

• Individualized treatment plans

• Hands-on care (in person)

• Exercise progressions built around your goals

• Movement coaching for real-life activities

• Ongoing support throughout your recovery

How long does recovery take?

4

Recovery looks different for everyone.

Some women notice meaningful improvements after only a few visits, while others need more time depending on the complexity of their symptoms and goals.

In general, meaningful, lasting change doesn't happen overnight.

Just like training for strength or rebuilding after an injury, your body needs time to:

• Improve mobility

• Restore strength

• Build coordination

• Return to higher-impact activities

My goal isn't simply to help you feel better today—it's to help you build lasting confidence in your body for years to come.

Do I need pelvic floor weakness to benefit?

5

No.

Pelvic floor symptoms are rarely caused by weakness alone.

Sometimes muscles are overactive.

Sometimes breathing mechanics are contributing.

Sometimes the issue starts somewhere else entirely.

That's why every evaluation looks at your whole body—not just your pelvic floor.

Do you only treat pelvic floor issues?

6

No.

While pelvic health is one of my specialties, I also treat orthopedic conditions affecting active women.

Many women experience overlapping issues involving strength, movement, pain, pregnancy, postpartum recovery, and athletic performance.

Because of my dual orthopedic and pelvic health training, treatment addresses the whole picture.

Can I work with you virtually?

7

Yes.

Virtual sessions allow us to evaluate movement, guide exercises, adjust your program, and provide coaching no matter where you live.

If you're local, in-person physical therapy offers additional hands-on assessment and treatment.

What results can I expect?

8

The goal isn't simply fewer symptoms.

The goal is getting back to the life you want to live.

That might mean:

  • Running without leaking.

  • Returning to CrossFit with confidence.

  • Picking up your kids without pain.

  • Exercising during pregnancy safely.

  • Feeling stronger postpartum.

  • Moving without constantly thinking about your bladder or pain.

My goal is to help you build confidence in your body—not just temporary symptom relief.

Do you accept insurance?

9

FitPelvis PT is an out-of-network practice. This allows every session to be one-on-one, individualized, and focused entirely on your goals rather than insurance limitations. Payment is due at the time of service, and a superbill can be provided for potential reimbursement depending on your insurance plan.
